Nordic Roots at Norway House – January
January 6, 2018 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am$20
January 6 is called 12th Night on the old church calendar.
On 12th day of Christmas Anglo-Saxons would take their toasting out to the orchards and bless the trees that gave us the fruit for our ciders and mead. Nordic Horn Ceremony was an essential component of sharing our best work, tightening community bonds, and honoring our ancestors, especially at Winter and Summer Solstice.
We will learn a few rituals and their accompanying songs that you can use within your own communities!
