Nordic Women’s Winter Retreat

The Volva Stav Guild is excited to host this year’s Winter Retreat on January 27 and 28, 2018. Registration information is at the bottom of the page.
Here is the basic schedule:
Saturday 10 am – 7 pm
Registration starts at 9am. Welcome Ceremony 10 am. We will provide sandwich making supplies for lunch. Bring extras to share (chips, fruit, veg sticks etc.) Coffee and tea provided.

“Nålbinding and Lucet” and “Baltic Sauna Medicine” by Elizabeth Ambroz
“Rune Walks and Skiing” by Kari Tauring and Aneesa Erinn Adams
“Stav and Song” with Kari Tauring
Ancestor Food – Potluck! Bring something from your family or cultural tradition to share. Coffee and tea provided. Bring other beverages you may want.
Evening Stav Journey and Fire (optional – bring clothing for the weather!)
Sunday 9 am – 2 pm
Breakfast 9 am – We will provide oat meal and hard boiled eggs, coffee and tea. Bring specialty foods as you need or desire.

Lunch is smorgasbord potluck and luncheon left overs!

What to Bring:
Food: Potluck Dish – share a recipe from your family or culture. Lunch extras, special beverages or snacks and any special foods to accommodate your sensitivities or allergies.
Craft Materials for Nålbinding:
Wooden, bone, or horn Nålbinding Needle and a skein of thick yarn (Àlafosslopi is recommended)
