Kari TauringTeaching — Völva Stav

Völva is a reclaimed word from Old Norse which means litteraly, staff carrier. The women and men who were Völva carried their healing, far-seeing, ceremonial, and magical practice throughout Scandinavia and the Baltic. We have learned about them through archeology, medieval texts (sagas and eddas) and the folk traditions, stories and songs that survived Christianization.

Pulling from this material and her life time of study and practice, Kari Tauring has created the system of Völva Stav.

She offers monthly work shops at the Eye of Horus in Minneapolis MN and travels widely to teach the rhythms, songs, and healing journeys of Völva Stav.
